If you’ve ever imagined a wedding that felt equal parts Palm Springs cocktail lounge and vintage queer nightlife, Jake and Ryan's wedding day at The Guild Hotel delivered every glittering detail.
Set in the heart of Downtown San Diego, this unforgettable wedding fused midcentury modern design, unapologetic queer joy, and the ultimate Lady Gaga approved playlist into one wildly stylish weekend. As guests arrived they were greeted with mid-century modern details everywhere, from a stylish vintage tv as the welcome table with their names written in "I love Lucy" fashion, to the fun orange welcome drinks to the theme of "somewhere over the rainbow" being sprinkled throughout. The couple actually walked down the aisle to Judy Garlands version of "somewhere over the rainbow" and I'm pretty sure we all started tearing up!
Guests were welcomed into the most ICONIC reception ever by none other than THE Trixie Mattel Impersonator, Lyric and taken into "Club McAnderfunk" - think orange velvet textures, disco lighting, drinks flowing under moody lighting, and tables set for the hottest mid century modern nightclub San Diego has ever seen. We definitely cannot forget about Lyrics performance, and Ryan and Jakes outfit change that officially opened the dance floor that was never empty. DJ Adamusic was one of the BEST DJ's I have ever experienced and its safe to say everyone else agreed!
