Sunset Cliffs Maternity Session

After fourteen years wandering through life together as just the two of them, these two are welcoming their first child - a sweet baby girl! We met up at Sunset Cliffs and was welcomed to the most beautiful spring day with a beautiful sunset and lots of wildflowers. It made for truly the best San Diego Maternity session for the Hackett Family! These two are such gentle and quiet souls, so I knew I wanted to find a more hidden area for them to really soak up these last moments as TWO before they become THREE. This maternity session felt so true to them too, as 4 years ago for their engagements we also hit the beach in Del Mar to capture some cozier moments. What I really loved about this session and these two was that we didn't treat their maternity session as a huge production or anything similar to where they may have felt out of their element. Instead their outfits were outfits they'd wear everyday or to a sweet little spring date night out. Let this be your sign that you don't have to get all dressed up for a photoshoot... just dress to your comfort level and treat the evening like a little date night with your old friend as a quiet third wheel haha! It was so special reconnecting with them after capturing their wedding in Carlsbad four years ago! I cannot wait to watch these two blossom into the best parents to baby girl and cannot wait to capture their family of THREE!
